Ramblers

As our name implies, we are an informal group who enjoy ambling (no, it is not a spelling mistake) in the great outdoors, meeting usually on the first Saturday in the month, the walks being led by any of our members who wish to do so.
These walks vary from three to six miles and it is surprising how quickly the miles disappear as random groups collect together and discuss all manner of subjects whilst walking along.
The majority of walks are in Staffordshire but we do occasionally stray over the borders into adjoining counties.
In summer we usually take a packed lunch and in the cooler months we tend to find a welcoming hostelry and have a meal indoors.
Transport is not a problem as there are enough cars and drivers to accommodate those without wheels and we have been known to use the 'bus pass'.
